Client Communications Manager

This is a 100% remote position.

A growing, fast-paced agency, McLellan Writing Team is seeking a Client Communications Manager to ensure a stellar experience for our clients at every touchpoint in our content creation and delivery process. Since 1994, we have delivered enterprise-class marketing strategy and content for many of the technology companies in the Fortune 500.

As the Client Communications Manager, you’ll be responsible for interacting with our clients from project inception to final signoff to ensure that the content we deliver meets or exceeds our clients’ expectations for quality and timeliness. You’ll support our editorial team to confirm that every team member has what they need to deliver enterprise-class content to our clients. Finally, you’ll participate in editorial reviews to guarantee that our content meets McLellan standards.

Who you are:

  • You’re a seasoned verbal and written communicator.
  • You’re experienced in working with the marketing departments at global technology companies.
  • You’re experienced in working with writers, editors, content managers, and project managers.
  • You manage your time, individual responsibilities, and the needs of other members of your team to meet deadlines.
  • You quickly grasp new and complex topics and communicate them clearly to team members and our clients.
  • You thrive in a collaborative, team environment.
  • You’re an expert in following client style and branding guidelines to ensure consistent application of those guidelines to every asset.


  • 5+ years of experience working directly with global technology enterprise clients.
  • Experience managing client reviews, delivering assets, and responding to feedback.
  • Professional and diplomatic manner and superb people skills; ability to build rapport and effective working relationships.
  • Strong communication skills; you’re consistent in written and verbal communications across different content topics and formats.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed, while collaborating with your team.
  • Ability to work remotely and thrive in a remote environment.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic growth environment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Close familiarity with AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, and other style guides, as well as branding and marketing guidelines.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including proficiency in Word, and a working knowledge of Adobe products.
  • Familiarity with content management and project management systems.


  • Bachelor’s degree. English, communication, journalism, or similar preferred.
  • Coursework in technical writing, marketing, computer science, or business a plus.

This position is full-time, 40 hours/week.
Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
